Richmond Garden

Our clients were lucky enough to have a garden that opens out onto an estuary by the Thames in Richmond. From the rear of the house, there is a long wrought iron Victorian veranda, with steps leading down into the garden. We put in a large oval lawn, within a York stone border to break up the square feel to the site. The clients love hosting and wanted space to BBQ and for outdoor drinks.

In order to make full use of the garden, we placed the main seating area to the back of the plot, where we added a large bluestone topped oak table for entertaining and a bespoke parasol. Plants border the lawn, and we also added raised oak beds so as to give more interest to the garden with additional levels (and to keep their puppy away from the more tender plants!)
